I had a fantastic dinner with Malay and his wife. A really nice couple. Here is the evidence.
It was so good that I went for the second serving and then he had a battery of churans to help it digest ;)

Passion fruit or Maraculla

I hoy introduced to passion fruit in Cambodia and I believe they do produce the sweetest and tastiest passion fruits in the world. Colombians also eat a los of passion fruit and they make a lot of  things out of passion fruit. Almost everywhere you can find passion fruit juice. This was the first time I bought passion fruit from a grocery store here in Bogotá and it was quite good.

Reminder

Have seen this before and a good one to remind oneself.

Thought for today

It's good to have money and the things that money can buy, but it's good, too, to check up once in a while and make sure that you haven't lost the things that money can't buy. -George H. Lorimer, editor (1868-1937)

Prateek at Subway

Went to subway with Prateek after a good discussion with his friend at Christain colony near Patel Chest.

Vegetarian paneer tikka subway

As mentioned in my previous post about KFC. Subway has also incorporated Indian ingredients like paneer into its bsnd of vegetarian option. One striking thing is the separate counter for vegeterian and non vegetarians.

Old places and new construction in Kamla Nagar

New parking at bara gol chakkkar

Kamla Nagar

Today I went shopping at Kamla Nagar.

Jamun

This is one of my favorite food and I am so glad that I visit India in July the peak season for Jamun and Litchi. The fruit is soft fleshy, juicy and has sweet and tart flavor.

Amritsari Nan and kofta,

It's last night in India and for dinner I have this Nan and Kofta. How I am already stuffed.

My all time favorite song

One of my all time favorite song is a "aye malik tere bande hum". It's so moving that every time I hear it my voice gets choked and I almost start crying. What a beautiful message  to live a life based on principles and values.

Reminiscing old times in Connought place

The highlight of my day trip today was visiting lots of familiar places in Connaught place. I admit every time I visit India I love to go back to some places I enjoy. Connaught place was not among the top places in my list though for people visiting from outside, this is one of the more popular place in New Delhi. I took a walk along Baba Kharag Singh marg where 11 years back I used to drive by almost every other day as I used to go swimming at nearby YMCA club. So while visiting this place again I saw the new PVR Rivoli and one of the picture here is of the refurbished place. The softy stall is at Regal theater and it was 20 yrs back more famous for its softy than itself for the teheater. So I did try the famous softy. The ice cream vendor in the last pic was taken at Barakhamba road and I tried the Orange bar which was a very popular frozen orange juice on icecream stick.

Aloo Chat at Janpath

One of the great thing about New Delhi is its street food and aloo chat ranks highly on the list if you happen to be in Delhi. It is just over fried potatoes on a flat pan draped in lemon sauce and spices. I ate it twice.

Should math be taught in school ?

Let me warn you that this is a parody in case you begin to take it seriously. But unfortunately there are still lot of people I know who identify themselves among these actors.

At Indian restaurant in Siem Reap

I took this in November 2011

Bangkok moto bike ride

The beach is at Sihanoukville.

Atma

There is this place in Bogota called Atma. I went there with Faye. It is inspired by Sri Aurbindo and they have a library, a place for doing yoga, a separate place for meditation, an organic bakery and even a shop selling trinkets and yoga stuff. I wish it was closer to Cedritos.
