Imagination and Experience
Dear Sumant,
This Sunday I attended the meeting at Unitarian Church. The guy who led the discussion was Steve and a pretty interesting person. One thing which gave me a truly aha effect was the discussion on dreaming and experience. Isn't it whatever experience we have is all like a dream ? After all once we had it and in future we try to recall it, it is nothing more than the imagination. So aren't we free to construct any experience we want in just our mind. This is a very powerful and empowering statement because once you understand this than you are no longer at the mercy of your experience and you can create experience through your imagination and other resources. All you have to do is condition your mind to believe that you experienced that first handed. This mean repeat that in mind until it is so engraved that you feel that you experienced it first hand.
