Good teachers

During my third year of engineering I had an outstanding professor. He taught us microprocessors and the whole class did very well. We used Gaonkar's text book and it was an eye opener that how much single handedly a good teacher can influence. He was not a regular teacher. He was preparing for the IAS exam and last we heard that he got selected into IAS and had a rank among top 65. In these days of ubiquitous internet we can now choose to learn from the best people and we will witness a generation which will be a lot well prepared.
