Qutab Minar

A week or so ago actually I remember it was 25th January 2011 that I visited Qutab Minar. The last time I was there was probably a decade ago. Qutab Minar is one of the most visited landmark in New Delhi and this time I was glad that the renovations they have been carrying out bore remarkable results. Its one of the oldest landmark in New Delhi if you don't count Purana quila.
The tower is 235 feet and was erected by Illtumash. I remember even having gone to first floor of the tower probably some three decades back when it was so allowed. I still have that vivid memory of climbing those stairs to reach that floor.
